Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Mr. Bhajanlal Sharma has made a special announcement on the occasion of the 100th birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He declared that 12,000 Atal Gyan Kendras would be opened in 12 thousand Gram Panchayats of Rajasthan. One Atal Prerak will be appointed for each Atal Kendra and he/she will be selected from the local area.
He has instructed the officials to start the preparations to open these Atal Gyan Kendra(Atal Knowledge Centers) in each Gram Panchayat in Rajasthan. The purpose of these Atal Knowledge centers is to provide career assistance and guidance to the students. Career counseling will be done at these Atal Knowledge Centers. New Atal Gyan Kendra in Rajasthan 2025
The state government of Rajasthan has removed Mahatma Gandhi Seva Preraks and now it is going to implement it in a new form of Atal Gyan Kendras. In place of Mahatma Gandhi Seva Preraks, the state government will now appoint the local youth as Atal Preraks in all the Gram Panchayats. There are approximately 12,000 Gram Panchayats in Rajasthan.
On the occasion of the hundredth birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee which is known as Good Governance Day. On this occasion, a seminar program was organized at the state BJP headquarters on Wednesday 25th December 2025.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, who attended this seminar, announced the vacancy of Atal Knowledge Preraks. Under this initiative, a library and e-library will also be opened at every Gram Panchayat in Rajasthan. On implementing this scheme, an additional burden of 500 crores will come to the state government.
Atal Prerak Vacancy Announced by Rajasthan CM 2025
The government has started the preparation to appoint approx. 12,000 Atal Prerak. Rajasthan CM talked about it on the 100th birth anniversary of the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. On 25th December 2025(Good Governance Day) the CM announced about Atal Prerak vacancy 2025.
He said that Atal Seva Kendras will be opened in all the Gram Panchayats in a systematic manner. Atal Preraks will be appointed at all the Gram Panchayats. It is notable that, Atal Preraks will be selected from the local youth who are preparing for government jobs. They will guide the students for Careers and will be responsible for other government work along the line of e-mitras.
Atal Prerak Eligibility Criteria 2025
- Passed secondary/senior secondary education from a government board or recognized board.
- Applicant must be a local resident of the Gram Panchayat where the Atal Gyan Kendra is situated. Local youth will be preferred for Atal Preraks.
- Must have working knowledge of the computer.
- Local language efficiency is a must.
Responsibiliites of Atal Prerak at Atal Gyan Kendra 2025
- To provide training facilities for the youth.
- Apply for various schemes of Indian and Rajasthan governments like e-mitras
- Creating Birth and death certificates, domicile and ration cards and other certificates will be made.
- Provide library and e-library facilities to the youth for preparing for competition exams.
- Providing career guidance to the students.
