“Mukhyamantri Mangala Pashu Bima Yojana” made by the State Government in the financial year 2024-25. Under this scheme, milch cows, milch buffaloes, sheep, and goats(5 lakh each ), and 1 lakh camels will be insured across the state. A budget of Rs 400 crore will be incurred in this scheme. Mukhyamantri Mangla Pashu Bima Yojna 2025 Eligibility
- All Janadhaar cardholder farmers of Rajasthan will be eligible to apply free of cost for MMPBY 2025.
- All the “Gopal Credit Card” holder farmers and “Lakhpati Didi” farmers will be eligible for MMPBY 2025.
- Only tagged animals will be registered for insurance so all farmers are advised to get tagged their animals.
- Only those animals will be insured under MMPBY, which have not been insured under any other animal insurance scheme.
- Under the “Mukhyamantri Mangla Animal Insurance Scheme“, the cattle that are Indigenous or hybrid milch animals such as cow and buffalo and draught animals like camel/female camel and other small ruminant animals such as goat and sheep for “one year” free of cost.
- Notably, MMPBY insurance targets have been fixed for all districts, based on their number of animals so that all livestock farmers can get MMPBY benefits.
- Maximum 2 milch animals (cow/buffalo or both), 10 goats / 10 sheep / 1 camel breed animal of the selected animal farmer will be insured.
- In case the target allotted to a district is not achieved it will be allocated to other districts after a review.
- Out of the fixed district-wise targets, 16 % and 12 % insurance targets will be reserved for SC and ST livestock farmers respectively.
- The animal will be evaluated based on the running market price based on the health, milk production capacity, age, lactation, breed of animal, etc.
- In case, the animal keeper sells or gifts the animal to any other, the insurance policy will be terminated.
- In case of the death of the insured animal, the farmer will need to inform the insurance department immediately.
- The insured claim amount of the dead animal will be paid to the concerned animal owner within 21 working days after survey.
- Under the MMPBY insurance scheme, the claim will be given only in case of death due to any natural or accidental incident such as fire, road-accident, lightning, natural calamity, eating poisonous grass or snake or any poisonous insect’s bite, any disease etc.
Documents Required for Mukhyamantri Pashu Bima Yojna

- Jan Aadhar Card of the animal keeper is a must-document
- A tag Number of Animals is required for MMPBY.
- Photo of the applicant or animal keeper and the animal
- Caste Certificate if you want a reservation (16% for SC and 12% for ST)
- Need to provide a mobile number that is linked with the Aadhar Card.
- Gopal Card / Lakhpati Didi Card (if applicable)
How to Apply for MMPBY 2025?
Animal Farmers or keepers can apply through the MMPBY Mobile app or get registered through the E-mitra and take all the required documents while going to the emitra.

- On the home page of the MMPBY website, click on the “register for MMPBY” and then check the check box related to Janaadhaar Number and enter the Janaadhaar Number.
- You will receive an OTP on the mobile linked with this Janaadhaar, Enter the OTP and Verify.
- Now fill in the basic information that is asked for under the application form.
- Now upload the required documents in the preferred size and format. Finally, after entering all the information, click on submit.
